Early Career Participation in Balisage

In order to encourage early-career participation in "Balisage: The Markup Conference", the Conference Committee announces 2 cost-reduction options for information professionals with less than 5 years' experience working with markup or marked-up documents.

Early Career Registration - Discount

Early Career Markup Professionals are eligible to register for "Balisage: The Markup Conference" for the fee of $125 (Registration)

Early Career Speaker Registration - Free

Early Career Markup Professionals who speak at the conference will get free registration. Details:

• Early Career papers must follow all regular submission guidelines, and will be peer reviewed and evaluated for inclusion in the conference with all other submissions (and without any special consideration)
• The speaker must provide a paper for the Balisage proceedings
• The speaker must present the paper and discuss audience questions/reactions as would any other speaker at Balisage
• The conference will waive registration fees for early career speakers but will provide no additional funding or support
