I'm going to miss Michael, though I only infrequently had the privilege to interact with him personally. I always enjoyed his conference closing keynotes summarizing his keen observations of the days prior.

I always looked up to Michael ... physically and intellectually. He towers over our community in both ways. Candidly, it made talking with him a bit intimidating by not wanting to embarrass myself, regardless of how patient he always was with my questions. I learned a lot from him and his posts.

I remember his CMSMCQ abbreviation catching my eye the first time I saw it, and I always looked for it in his public writing.

We all benefited from his presence among us. I will forever appreciate that.
