Registration Payment Form (through Paypal)
Please use the form, below, to register for Balisage. Provide the name and email of the person who will be participating in Balisage 2023. If you want to use a different email address to interact with the conference system please provide it in the second box and we will set that email address up to log in to the conference.
When you click the “Pay Now” button you will be taken to PayPal, who will process your payment. Note: you may pay with EITHER a PayPal account or a credit card. The grey button at the bottom of that page that says “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” is simply a grey-color button, it is NOT “greyed-out”.
NOTE: No portion of the registration fee will be refunded unless the event is cancelled.
Balisage Conference Registration
Early Career Registration
To encourage early-career participation in “Balisage: The Markup Conference”, information professionals with less than 5 years’ experience working with markup or marked-up documents are eligible for discount registration. (Early career professionals who give papers at the conference are eligible for free registration).
Gratis Registration
A limited number of Gratis (free) registrations are available for people who would like to participate in Balisage but find the registration fee challenging.
To apply for gratis registration for Balisage 2023, send email to info@balisage.net with:
- Your Name
- Email address for correspondence about your registration
- Email address you want to use for the conference registration system (does not have to be the same as corresponding email address)
- Short description of your interest in markup
- Short description of your interest in Balisage
- Statement that the registration fee presents a significant challenge to your ability to participate in Balisage 2023.
Alternative Payment Mechanisms
Balisage participants who are uncomfortable using the Paypal payment portal are welcome to send email to info@balisage.net. We will arrange an alternative that meets your needs.
