Papers submitted to Balisage are presumed to be copyrighted by their authors, and will be shared within the conference committee and among peer reviewers on that basis.

When a paper is accepted for Balisage, its authors are asked to sign a publication agreement, stating the terms under which they license the paper for publication in the conference proceedings. This element is then added to the paper using the language provided by the authors.
